A born performer trained on stage from a young age, Harrison Greenbaum began performing stand-up comedy while working as a writer for MAD Magazine in New York. Although Harrison relocated to Boston for four years to attend Harvard (where he graduated summa cum laude in 2008), he continued to perform, taking the spotlight at many of the major clubs along the East Coast. Only 22 years old and back in New York, Harrison has already received many honors for his comedy, including being named a quarter-finalist in the 2008 Boston Comedy Festival and a regional semi-finalist in RooftopComedy.com's National College Comedy Competition. Harrison has also starred in and produced shows for both the New York Underground Comedy Festival and Boston Comedy Festival. Additionally, Harrison is a captain of the Red Tie Mafia, Gotham Comedy Club’s first and only house improv team.
In addition to being a tireless performer, Harrison is also the creator, co-producer, and regular featured act of Stand-Up Comedy: LIVE at the SAGE THEATER, the most successful weekly stand-up comedy show in Times Square. (For more info, please visit sagestandup.com.)
In 2007, this comedic dynamo co-founded Harvard College Stand-Up Comic Society (yes, the acronym is Harvard College SUCS), which has brought live stand-up comedy to Harvard’s campus at more than twenty sold-out performances.
Harrison is a talented comedy writer as well. He is a contributing writer for MAD Magazine; his latest article, If Stand-Up Comedians Told the Same Joke, imagining famous comedians such as Lewis Black and Jay Leno telling the “chicken crossing the road” joke, appeared in the May 2008 issue. Harrison is also a writer and producer for TMIWeekly.com, where he also appears on camera as "Harrison the Intern" and writes humorous articles for the site.
From colleges to comedy clubs, from talk shows to theaters, Harrison is bringing his unique style of comedy to audiences across the country! |
